Stations in the Life of Christ
The purpose of church art is not only to be decorative but also to teach. The portrait of the 16 angles on our sanctuary walls are meant to do just that - to beautify our interior and to remind us of some of the basics of our faith. They were created in collaboration between The Rev. Dr. Peter Cook and artist and designer, Rhatt Judice, who grew up at St. Michael's.
Each contain a symbol representing a station in the life of Christ. Although the architecture of our building does not allow for the installation of stained glass, the use of silver and gold within each pane gives an element of light, and the figures remind us that our church name is St. Michael and All Angels.
