Episcopal Church Women
All women of St. Michael's are members of ECW. The group meets at noon on the second Tuesday of each month for fellowship and to plan events for the year. A few events have included convocational retreats, Christmas luncheons, and English teas.
Guild of the Christ Child
This ministry serves the children baptized each year. Each child receives a card in the mail soon after their Baptisms. They receive a card on the anniversary of their baptism for 12 years. The inspirational cards remind the child and family of the child of this holy sacrament leading to Confirmation. The church covers the cost of this ministry. Currently, in February 2023, St. Michael's has 19 children in this program. (leader is Missy Shaddock)
Lay Eucharistic Ministers
These LEM, men and women, assist the clergy at worship services by proclaiming God's word, leading the congregation in prayers, and administering the chalice. This ministry requires clergy endorsement.
Lectors
This group also assists in the worship services by proclaiming God's word.
Outreach/Missions
St. Michael's commitment to Christian mission outside our parish provides that ten percent of all income be pledged for that purpose. These commitments include local needs as well as those throughout the United States and the world. Several adult and youth members have answered the call to mission in China, Africa, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, and Honduras.
Music Ministry
The adult choir is a volunteer group and requires no audition or formal musical training to join. This group of dedicated individuals leads our services in a variety of joyful and reverent music under the direction of our accomplished organist and choirmaster. The youth/children's choir is a seasonal choir that provides music at various church functions.
The Order of Daughters of the King
An order for women of the Episcopal Church and churches within the historic Episcopate. They pledge to pursue a lifelong program of prayer, service, and evangelism.
Operation Christmas Child
Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God's love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan's Purse works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ.
