Rector's Assistant/Church Receptionist
Karen Richards is a cradle Anglican, christened and baptized in Harare, Zimbabwe and confirmed at St Thomas’ Durban, South Africa. Karen is originally from South Africa where she has lived most of her life; having also lived and worked in the United Kingdom. Lake Charles and St Michael & All Angels is her new home; of almost five years.
Karen has a Bachelor's degree in History and Politics; and a diploma in Organizational Management from the University of Cape Town. She has worked in Public Relations and Communications most of her career. She is married and the proud mother of two high school age sons - Alexander and Samuel. In her spare time, she enjoys supporting her sons in their education and sports. She loves traveling, reading, cooking, swimming, tennis, and yoga. Karen has packed an Operation Christmas Child Santa Shoebox or two; and continues working in this ministry at St Michael & All Angels. Her love for the OCC ministry was started in South Africa. |
Susan Arrington, Music Liturgist & Organist
Susan Arrington currently serves as the Organist and Liturgist at St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church. She graduated from McNeese with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and studied the organ with Dr. Fred Sahlmann. Susie started playing the organ at age 13, her mother having also played the organ. Susie has played for numerous Lake Charles churches and taught piano for over 40 years. She came to St. Michaels over 7 years ago and often admits this changed her life! Susie has two grown daughters and one adorable grandson.

Camryn Clements, Choir Director
Camryn Clements is from Lake Charles, LA with a degree in Music Education from McNeese State University. She spent 2 years of undergraduate study at Centenary College of Louisiana where she toured and performed with the Centenary College Choir at Carnegie Hall, across the US, and South America. She has a passion for teaching music and is a former middle school choir teacher of Shreveport, Bossier, and Lake Charles. Over the years, Camryn has served as Choir Director and professional vocalist for various churches and programs across Louisiana.

Michelle Parsons, Sexton
Michelle has been an active member of St Michael’s for over 33 years. She was the youth director for 10 years until 2012 and is currently the Sexton, a role she assumed after the death of her husband, David Parsons who had been the sexton for more than 25 years. She continues the outreach program for first time offenders providing opportunities for individuals seeking a second chance by earning community service hours. She is the mother of 3 sons who are also members of St Michael’s and assist with the Sexton duties. She has 5 grandchildren and is a retired Program Manager for the Governor’s office of Elderly affairs.
